Whatta-weekend! In a nutshell, this is a summary of what happened (too busy to over-elaborate : D) :-

Went to watch X-Men 3 on Saturday - lurved it thoroughly as I have alwiz lurved X Men : ) When i was fourteen, me & my then best pal Farah used to collect all the X Men (and related - Xcalibur, X-Force) comics and our fave characters were Rogue & Gambit. I liked the movie versions of the comics but they left out so many pertinent characters - Gambit, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Bishop, Multiple, Wolfsbane etc. Sigh…nothing like the good old days ; ) And to set the record straight, Rogue’s real love interest is Gambit and not Iceman aka Bobby Drake as portrayed in the movie. Weird. And Rogue’s real name is unknown up til now. And it’s definitely not Marie.

Had a belated birthday celebration for my other half at TGIF, the curve ; ) Got a free brownie coz "the chef made a mistake". And it did not come with the clapping & signing waiters this time. Yippeee…
Bought 3 books from Borders - not any Dan Brown Da Vinci stuff coz i try not to read what the mainstream crowd is reading. Am already done reading one of them (all 500 pages of it hehe) Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer. Really good : ) Or maybe i juz missed reading. But it was really good! Gave me a slap-in-the-face insight to what im missing out on the litigation side of law practice and a good dose of criminal law. Yeah, yeah - its all fiction but its still a damn good read. And it’s titled such coz the lawyer in focus always drives around in a Lincoln town car : ) The other 2 which i bought were Empress Orchid by Anchee Min and The Third Secret by Steve Berry. Bookie ahoy!
Satay Kajang !!! on Sunday morning ; P
Dyed my hair back to dark brown. No more orange hair for me : ) No more Jean Grey/Nancy Drew lookalike. Don’t know how long the cover up will last though…my hair was previously bleached : ( And you know what they say bout bleached hair…
Cat’s Whiskers and Blook in Sri Hartamas do not have any nice clothes anymore. No matter, will be heading down to Singapore again this weekend for the Great Singapore Sales!!! Waa hey !! *thumbs, fingers & toes up*
Finally collected my new baby. I love u. Every inch of u. Hehe. And knowing that i paid for every cent of u with my own moo-lah makes me even more proud of u & happy to be with you. And that one hour drive to work this morning never felt so goooood… Hehe… ; P
We should all learn to be more Civic minded : )

It’s Friday again and i LOOOVE fridays! ; ) We had our firm’s monthly end of the month dinner & drinks again today and i think im a lil bit woozy already from all the wine ; ) Haha. We should never be typing under the influence of CH3OH ; ) Just had a looong girlie discussion with my female colleagues bout work, men-kind and getting hitched. Yups i may just come in on Monday n delete this hehe. But as for now, am contented to leave this here : )

Was reminded bout this very funny phrase a former colleague taught us whereby if its Friday it’s normal for people to say Thank God it’s Friday. How bout if its Thursday? Well, Thursday is SHIT. I was thinking like: Whoah, we know it aint end of the week yet but it aint right to be calling a day of the week names like that, when suddenly she goes and explains that SHIT actually means So Happy Its Thursday : ) *chuckle*

Will be watching X Men 3 this weekend. Will be car-less this weekend (am waiting for my sis to pick me up as we type). Will be expecting a new arrival on Monday - and NO im not goin into labour hehe…

Night of the living…

Last nite was one of those nites where humans became zombies. Im that human. Heh. And no, i wasn’t walking around town like one of those grey matter from the Night of the Living Dead - i was stuck in front of my computer working : p Strange how once you’ve passed your normal bedtime you become suddenly alert again… And wonderful how past midnite is the only time u get to drive at 100km/h in practically every single street in KL *snigger*. But don’t tempt fate though - last nite i saw an accident along Jalan Tun Razak where this white Iswara was split in half. I love speed (as many know ; ) but I immediately decelerated. Spooked out. Casper the friendly ghost (?!)

I drove my little Kelisa for the last time this morning *sob sob* *weep weep*. Am reeeeallly gonna miss my lil baby :’( Had it for 2 years now. It was my first love… Took heck of a lot of photos of it last nite just in case i miss it : ) And took the train to work for the first time in a year. In just ONE morning, i remembered why i hated taking the train so much and that being stuck in a traffic jam for one hour in your own car is still better than taking the train to work. LRT probably stands for Late (the train) Rowdy (the humans) Transportation (that thing which is alwiz full). GAAAWFDD the darned thing was sooo full you wouldnt even know if someone was grabbing your arse or just so lack of space there was no where else to fit their hands. And the SMELL…

American Idol results are officially out and OH NOOOOO…….
Mr. SOUL PATROL won !!! arghhh… : ) but have to admit that his performances were better than Kat’s last nite. She sounded much worse than previously. Probably the nerves. Guess she was just unlucky to be in the Season where America just HAD to vote a difference : )
Had she joined in any other season, she would have probably taken the crown. I am STILL wondering how Carrie Underwood won last season : s
Alrighty then…back to work : D

Skies looking clearer today, weather forecasts say that the dark clouds and stormy weather of yesterday have given way to a brighter today…

Tonite is the nite. The nite for the performances by the FINAL two contestants of American Idol Season 5. As per my previous predictions, the final two are Kat vs Tay. Who do you think will win ??? I’m rooting for Katharine of course…but at the same time have this nagging feeling that old man "im-gettin-jiggy-with-it" Taylor will win (the same feeling i had when i was watching the 2002 World Cup England vs Brazil match at Eileen’s house - was rooting for the good ‘ole Englishmen of course ; ) Anyways, we’ll only know by tomorrow nite (Californian raisin time). And America voted…

23rd of May not only marks the American Idol finals but my calendar also rings coz it’s my other half’s birthday ; ) Yep, only 4 days away from mine. Cute, innit ? Happy Birthday, dearest. Although i know you dont read my blog…hehehe. Okaaaaaay, let’s bring on the beer. Where’s that RX8 ? Yes, yes…we’ll watch the Tokyo Drift when its here. And yes, im missing your very presence : )

I swear that some people are sooo stupid they don’t even deserve to be alive. Best thing is, they won’t admit they’re stupid but they think they’re SMART. Hoh. And they also shy away from responsibility and don’t have a mouth of their own ie. their voice is always someone else’s. Didn’t anyone teach you that the rich aren’t supposed to steal from the poor? Suffering from the reverse Robin Hood syndrome again ??! *SIGH* Sometimes you don’t even know whether to hate them or to pity them…

Having said that, i believe in karma. So what goes around will just come around and run smack into your face one day. Ouch, bet that’ll hurt. Oops, your bad. Muahaha…

A year older…

Cake_1 I spent my day becoming a year older by rushing about practically the whole day ! : ) But it was fun nonetheless ; )) My boyf came back in the morning, and i had some errands to run til late afternoon. So it left us with only 1 hour to eat at our planned venue, Jogoya but we STILL went (gluttony at its best). I can assure you this was my first marathon buffet & we were a spoonful short of suddenly becoming bullimic ; P After that we had to rush over to 1 Utama to watch Da Vinci Code. Weird ya, rushing all the way across town : S Reason was coz i had already bought the tickets online on Wednesday there so we didnt have much of a choice, now did we? *grin* I couldn’t book movies at any cineplex coz they were already fully booked so i had to buy them : ( Whoah, with the turnout during the first four days since release of this movie, Leo would have been so proud : D Overall i felt the movie was quite good, but my friends who have read the book beg to differ citing that "the book is much, much better" : ) Well, in that case i wont be reading the book then… Was contemplating buying the whole Dan Brown collection but decided not to, simply knowing i would never have the time to read them these days. Yep, i’ve changed a lot since the old days hehe. Its those super-thick law books, law reports and hundreds of cases in law school that killed my interest in reading frankly. I’m only now beginning to recover *smilez* Later, at nite we went for drinks and had my cake-cutting : ) Seriously, deliriously yummy chocolate cake from Delicious. Happy, happy, happy.

Halfway through my journey of rushing & answering my non-stop singing (not ringing hehe) phone, i received another birthday present. The car salesman called me and suddenly informed me that by some form of miracle the car that i had ordered and which was only due to arrive in 3-4 months time was HERE !! yippee! (After that began a whole other chapter of rushing - to find a buyer for my current car… Any takers?)

Just wanna say a big THANKS to my dear colleagues and chambies for taking me out to lunch at Secret Recipe today on the occasion of my approaching birthday *hugs* Thanks for so many of you attending ! Blew me away ; )

And since i may not be in the office tomorrow and am on leave on Friday, also wanna take this quick chance to thank all you dearies who have sent and those who will send your wishes *grin* - pre-meditated appreciation hehehe… really appreciate your thoughtfulness. I apologize for not alwiz being available for dinner or yam cha sessions like i used to, but that doesn’t mean i’m not grateful for every single sms, email or phone call from all of you : ) *muaks* U truly rawk my world !

im finally back home for the weekend !!! Yaay, my first time blogging in my hometown : ) i love long weekends. Simplee love them. Dial-up sucks, will get broadband when i move into my new place ; ) Anyways, one of the reasons we’re all back this weekend is coz this Sunday is the all important Mother’s Day!!

So what didcha get ur momma? *wink* Me & my sis have got a bracelet & necklace for our mum. We’ll also be taking the whole family (that includes the two boys - ie. the IT guy & the PILOT) out to dinner on Saturday nite. Yep, dinner and not the traditional Mother’s day lunch on Sunday coz some our schedules are kinda tight and the buffet lunch does require an immense amount of time (and Due Diligence hahaha). We’re all greedy people, im sorry : D Speaking bout that, im sure someone is gonna be craving tauhu bakar again…

So have a Happy Momma’s Day, to any mums who are reading my blog : ) and to the rest of u out there, have a great time with the most important woman in your life ; )

P/s : My dog also juz gave birth to nine puppies so she’s a momma too ! ; ) anyone want one? Pls let me know. I obviously can’t keep all nine of ‘em (altho i’d love to!) ; )
