Let’s talk about sex…

Now that i have your attention… : )

I just found out last nite that the source of my tiredness was actually coz i was down with a fever. Not again!! Im slightly better now, but still groggy. Too much boozing & insufficient sleep i suppose. Thankfully the weekend is here so hopefully it isnt too hectic and i get enough beauty sleep.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand…

See this? : ) yep its one of those tiny signs people lurve to stick on the rear windscreen of their cars -  u know, stuff like If u think this car is cute, wait til u see its owner and my other car is a Ferrari and If you’re close enough to read this, it means you’re too close and you get the picture… Rest assured, i did not snap this off the back of someone’s car (wow, i must hav been reeeeally close to do so). It’s from one of the eateries (don’t ask why) [check out the plastic bag in the background] near my office and i thought it was interesting. I know, i’ve also seen it before but i took the pic just for the heck of it.

Anyway, with the turn of recent events it appears to be quite significant now. I’m not saying. But…i think everyone has a little bit of BAD GIRL in them, right? It’s just how u control it and when and where it surfaces. Heh. Don’t kill me. I lurve point no.5, btw. Oh, and i think it’s safe to say that im not guilty of any of them. vs

Have a good weekend. Or a bad one. Whichever u may prefer

Another one says I do…

Im extremely exhausted coz I just arrived back from Malacca at about 2pm this afternoon. I was on leave for half day noon yesterday and this morning coz I had to drive back home to attend a friend’s wedding. Yep, on a Wednesday nite of all nites : )) I left work at lunch time yesterday, rushed back to do my hair treatment, ran some errands, paid some bills, picked some stuff up from my sis at her office and then rushed back home.

*boinks* I love my car. I managed to do a steady 140 without the car rattling, and i even reached 180 at some points. Thanks to that, I got home in about an hour only. Time to check for speeding tickets now then… Yes, im nutty : ) Anyone who has sat in my car will attest to that. But i hate that highway widening thing. Too many lane closures at too many places and i dont see anyone working. Bah.

Anyways, i got home at about 5pm and showered and changed before going for my close fren, Melanie’s wedding dinner at Equatorial hotel. Riiiight - where else? ; ) Met my old colleagues during my attachment in a tiny law firm in Malacca days (that’s how i met Mel anyways). And we sat and ate and drank together. Tra-la-laaa…

Melanie was gorgeous as alwiz, and i think i drank too much again. Oh no…alcohol overload. alcohol overload. alcohol overload. I promised her last year that I would attend her wedding and so attend i did. I didn’t anticipate a weekday dinner however : P

she’s so pretty, she looks like a Barbie doll! : )

This morning i woke up late so instead of driving back to my house first as planned, i had to drive back straight to my office. Hence the uber-tiredness of me now. Sighs…

Sleeping on your job…

I’ve been having the sniffles and a sore throat since Sunday. But it’s not so bad that i ever needed to blog about it before : )) Anyway i just got some clarinase from Guardian on my secretary’s recommendation so i hope it does the trick. It’s supposed to clear up a cold within hours of ingestion.

Last nite i watched this weird 2003 movie called The Sleeping Dictionary, which believe it or not, starred Jessica Alba as a native Iban and was shot in Sarawak and focused on the British colonial times. They must have painted Jessica Alba’s skin to an Asian hue coz i really dont remember her being that colour in Dark Angel (pardon the pun) and Fantastic Four… but the weirdest bit is the reason why they name these women "sleeping dictionaries". Apparently they were living breathing translators who also slept with the British officers. A sleep-in language teacher. Oh, and they had babies with their colonial masters too. Weird. It’s no wonder why some Sarawakians look abit Eurasian. I dont even know why i watched the show apart from the fact that it actually involved a Malaysian community. And Jessica Alba playing an Iban. Weird weird weird.

Speaking about sleeping dictionaries…recently i realised that many people who began blogging with all the gusto of a little toddler learning to walk have actually let their blogs die simpliciter. Maybe it’s coz they’re just tired of writing, maybe it’s coz they found something more constructive to do with their time, or maybe they’ve just moved on. I know of some people who have stopped blogging due to negative comments from the readers of their blog,  but we all know that once u decide to place something in the public eye, you should learn how to deal with feedback favourable or otherwise. I still consider myself a baby in the blogging kingdom, so i dont even know how long i’ll maintain this blog. And i do somehow see myself exporting all the content from here to another blog somewhere in the near future, just coz friendster blogs are too basic and restrictive. There are so many things which i’d like to do but i cant here. Like post videos for instance.

So another question is: why even bother starting a blog if u know u’re not the type to ever follow up on stuff? Many reasons i suppose. Some are in it for the money, some for the fame. Some just want a cosy little avenue to vent their frustrations. Some want to make a point. Some want to spread a message to the world. Some want to brag. Some want to defame others. And some just use it as an alternative to the classic Dear Diary writing. Whatever the reason, weblogs are an extension of a person’s identity whether they admit or not - and sometimes you find out amazing things about others from their blogs which u would have never known of if they never wrote about it. Why else would you be hooked on the every day life of a perfect stranger when you might not even want that person to be your friend in the concrete world?

Whatever it is, i hope my friends dont ever stop blogging. Especially those who are linked on my page : )) And those who arent but whose blogs i read, u know who u are ; )

You, me and…

I didnt do anything much last weekend save for bumming around at home practically the whole Saturday. I had to pick my boyf up at 3am, ya. So we only went out at nite to Cathay Cineleisure to watch You, Me and Dupree. It was okay…but nothing to shout about. I didn’t go to the MATTA fair in the end hehe…coz we couldnt decide on where to go on a tight budget so i decided we’ll just book the holiday when we need to go. That would make things easier : )) Anyway im glad coz someone who went told me that it was pretty rubbish again. Sunday morn woke up late, my bf was running late for his bus again and we had to go to Amcorp Mall to get something, so i actually drove from Amcorp to Pasarakyat in 15 minutes (highlighting many cars out of the 3rd lane in the process. ooopsie daisie ) And last nite i watched The Italian Job on Cinemax. The Oceans are better ; P But the Mini coopers were cool.

Sell your soul…

I just came back from Pei Lyn’s so-called farewell party hehe at Souled Out. Okay, it’s more of a party to mark the end of her chambering period and to symbolise her blossoming into a lawyer more than anything else. The reservation was for a table of 18 but I think we had well over 20 ppl. I left the office at 6pm together with joeeey & pei lyn but strangely enuff I arrived at 7.10pm, pei lyn arrived at near 8pm and joeeey never came. We had dinner and tons of beer and some Long Island (non-Lindeman Island) Tea : )) And we were all talking rubbish soon enuff. Some of the rubbish was pretty interesting though hehehehehe. Anyway, at about 11.45pm me, gsc & keef made a move. At this point of time, joeeey still hadn’t arrived. Hmmm…I wonder which road she took. Must make a note to self to never take that road to Hartamas. And if you’re wondering why im back so early, it’s coz I need to go pick up my boyf from the bus station later at about approximately 4am. Yep, he’s taking a coach back tonite. Yep, he still comes back every week : ) So once im done with this I have to go sleep. Once again, photos later ok. My uploading tool is in the office and most of the photos tonite weren’t taken with my camera, I only used my phone camera *smiles* Good nite people of the world. Have a special weekend & remember - alcohol makes u laugh.

ps: Also, drunk people alwiz deny that they are drunk. Have a nice day !!! : ))

+ what happens when u use the nite vision mode on ur mobile camera

+ and clearer photos grabbed (literally) from pei lyn : ))

Here comes the bride…

No, no…not me! : ) Not til next year at least ; )

Many people seem to be getting married this year. I’ve already been served with 2 summons and one upcoming for 2 weddings in December and one next week, which I will be attending. Oh, and not forgetting one in February next year, but that’s next year (which will probably usher in even more weddings). My friend said that it takes at least a year to plan a wedding, and if i thought planning and doing stuff for my new home was tough - wait til i start planning my own wedding.

With all that said and done, i figured i may as well get started now then. Originally we planned to hold the wedding somewhere early or in the middle of next year, but looking at the one year time span now i do not think it will be possible. So i’ve set a realistic date for somewhere in December 2007, which will give us ample time to plan and (hopefully) be able to book the venue on the date of our choice. All this is ironically said when im not even engaged yet haha. I dont think im ever getting engaged, i mean what’s the point? An engagement is nothing more than a romantic notion - a mere verbal contract, a promise to marry. But i’ve seen too many people break up in their engagement stage and that scares me a little. So it’s get married or nothing haha. No offence to those who believe otherwise, i know how sweet it is when the guy of your dreams finally pops the question on one knee ; )

Financial wise, after spending so much for our new home we’ll also need to start saving again. And it’s not gonna be easy coz it also means saving for a honeymoon - and i already have specific plans about where i’d like to go : ) And even scraping the honeymoon off the list - the banquet hall booking, bridal photography et al is gonna be costly. But the worse bit i guess is not so much the cost. It’s more of the shopping for the perfect photo studio, hotel, the photo shooting process (which apparently takes up your whole day from morning til nite), finalising the guest list and the whole planning process altogether. The thing about Malacca is that there seem to be only two places u can hold a reception - Equatorial (#1 on the list) and Century Mahkota. And i dont really fancy either coz i’ve attended too many weddings there already. Gawd, i sound like im getting married tomorrow.

Anyways, congrats to all my dearies who are tying the knot soon. And to all those who have been asking, yes - my reception wont be in KL unless the guest list explodes of course. And anyway, I know all my KL frens are looking for a reason to come down to Malacca hehe. Right, joeeey?

A year older…

Happy birthday today, Keef : )) Here’s to many more happy years down the lane - with GSC by ur side of course hehe *wink wink*

Keef’s bday lunch at secret recipe : ) They actually didnt have anything to light the candle with!! So we borrowed a lighter from some other diners…

Just to recap, we had a quick bday lunch for keef nearby coz all of us were busy & rushing stuff etc etc. And the past 2 days? Everyone’s still recovering from the post-Club Med syndrome and exchanging photos. Other than that, nothing much has been going on. Oh, my mobile phone credit expired today hehehe. And my sis has been asking for suggestions on where to go for dinner on her birthday, which is coming up soon next week ; ) Joeeey gave some suggestions which i have relayed on to her - sevenatenine, cafe cafe, opus bistro, frangipani, one bangsar or one of KL hilton’s many eateries (the great thing about joeeey is that her suggestions alwiz come with website links ; )) Anyone have any other suggestions? First she thought of Lemon Garden but i tink that the place is overrated now, coz u can get their famed choc fondue fountain almost anywhere now.

Okay im goin home to watch Desperate Housewives now. I’ve had enuff of meetings for the day. Cheers.

3 Days of Clubbing…

We’re baaaaackkk…..and my back is aching!!

Freaky Friday

I actually managed to wake up bright & early at 4.30am on Friday morning. So I could take my time in getting ready. When I finally reached my office at about 6am there were already a number of cars parked in the parking area. Unfortunately, although I was on Bus #1, our bus was the last to depart due to umm…forseen circumstances : ) The journey took us almost 5 hours coz we left at 7.30am but only reached at about 11.45am, thanks to the superb driving skills of the driver. Superb coz although we were the last to leave and were moving at 90kmh all the way, but we still managed to arrive third!! Yaaaay : P Me & joeeey were seating behind Elaine Daly on the bus (and she said that we laugh a lot & had lotsa energy – impliedly: too much? yeah, we should be Club Med GO’s) Two movies were aired ~ Crocodile Dundee & damn ancient Hollywood Jet Li movie (dono whats the name but the mobiles were HUFFGGEEE dats how we know it’s old). We also passed the scene of a fatal accident and actually saw two bloody bodies sprawled on the road (= Karak Highway).

When we got there we immediately had lunch. Awww…lunch never felt so good than with free flow of beer!!! After lunch me & joeeey just headed back to our room and konked out haha. We were way too tired for activities. We woke at about 5pm though, to the sound of GSC’s intercom asking us if we wanted to go for a walk on the beach. So we woke up, took our baths and made our way out. We took photos by the beach and the pool whilst all the time complaining that we were extremely hungry and that dinner starting at 7pm was just too late : P Altho our seats were damn far from the spread & the food was nothing to shout about (thank to Jogoya maybe? : )) there was free flow of wine & beer to keep us happy! After dinner was the performance by the GO’s which kinda sucked on the 1st nite. Then they started playing songs from a seriously sucky CD for us to dance to the rest of the nite. The songs were from Gawd-only-knew what era but a bunch of us were dancing anyway – maybe coz we were drunk, maybe coz there was nothing else to do and maybe coz we all just missed dancing so much.

After too much sucky music and a round of vodkas, me, joeeey & jolly ole st.nick went for a dip in the pool at 1am!!! Hahaha…the water was perfect coz it was quite warm, but we cant say the same bout the air – it was so cold there was mist above the water. Brrr!! (both coz of cold & coz of fright). After showering we called it a night, no more energy to walk half the way across the world to go look for our other friends. The village is huge, btw.

Saturday Nite Fever

Saturday I was dragged out of the bed by joeeey coz I had too many drinks the nite before. As anticipated, I was the last to go down for breakfast. We couldn’t eat too much coz at 10am we had our firm TELEMATCHES!!! Gawd…we were grouped according to our normal sports club teams and there were five games to play altogether. My team lost as usual. We have kept our record-breaking losing streak since some partners were chambies I think. One team mate commented that we should be given a point for consistency hahaha : D Anyway, as we were the loser team and are always short of people I had to participate in every single game. We played a mad relay whereby u had to run to the other end of the field, place ur head on a stick with a tennis ball on top, spin (5x for gals, 10x for men) and then run back. Sounds easy, but try running in straight line after u’ve spun urself around. This had to be the funniest game coz people were toppling all over the place! We also did a war cry & played Club Med ski, 3-legged race, pass the hula hoop & collecting water from the sea. Mad but fun.

After that we had lunch, sneaked an unfinished bottle of white wine out and headed over to the Pantai (a beach which is about 15min walk from the main village) for some water sports. There was no wind so we couldn’t go on the catamaran, but we managed to do some kayaking. It was really fun but me who doesn’t exercise at all had a terribly achy back, arms and legs (from the running this morn) after. I cut my foot on a rock in the sea, damn them rocks. Luckily it was only a small cut so I could still walk. We walked to the Pantai but were very tired so we wanted to take the tram back (trams are every half hour). U wont believe what happened next.

Me & KN went over to the tram stop but really needed to go to the bathroom so we scouted around for one. We spotted a fine-dining restaurant whose doors were open so we went in and used their toilet. When we were heading back towards the tram (which had already arrived by then) I realized I left my handbag in the toilet!! So I rushed back to get it but upon reaching found the doors locked!! Oh no…so I banged on the glass wall as hard as I could using my hands and the various cutlery laid out on the tables and shouted HELLLooOOOoooooooo. But no one came to the door although I was SURE there were people in there. Then KN came over coz she was wondering what was keeping me. After another round of banging the glass we decided to return to the beach and get the GO’s to call the restaurant but suddenly spotted a back door. We went up again and tried to open the door sacre bleu it was open!! So we just went in and got my bag but SAW 2 chefs preparing the meals who must have been deaf to not have heard us. Anyway, by the time we got back to the tram stop the tram had left us. But our towels and my cap was on the tram!! Arghhhhh…so we decided that instead of waiting another 30min for the tram we should just walk back. Ouch, with my foot hurting. We figured we could catch the tram in time at the village to get our stuff back. But when we got there, it had already left for the beach again. Cochon!!! (keeping with the French theme since Club Med is French) So I had to go to the reception to report my loss and told them to notify me if they retrieved my cap.

After that we just headed back to shower & met back again at the Theatre for our firm’s lucky draw & prize giving ceremony. As usual, I didn’t win anything : ) Thankfully one of my colleagues informed me she had taken me cap off the tram, bless her soul. Then was dinner with again too much wine and beer and after that the GO performances again. Tonite was much better coz they actually had two plays where they involved the audience and so many of our colleagues got picked to play!! Farnieee…we were laughing til we cried. Once that was done, it was dancing & drinking time again. Tonite I reaaallly drank a lot. Wine, beer and an assortment of other liquor. Someone had a crush on one of the cute GO’s but instead of that someone chatting him up, she got drunk. And the rest of us who weren’t exactly clear headed stayed up til 2.30am chatting to him. Whaat?!

Super Sunday

I didn’t want to go back. I didn’t want to wake up for breakfast. I didn’t want to pack my stuff. I didn’t want to sit in a crammed bus with my aching body. I contemplated extending my stay by a day & taking emergency leave for Monday. But obviously, it didn’t happen. I had to drag my over-worked liver out of bed and to pack my stuff before being one of the latest down for breakfast. Thereafter we couldn’t do anyting else coz it was so late and we had to check out and leave by 11am. So we looked at the souvenir tees but they were seriously ugly. The ones they had many, many yrs back when I first came were delightful! But these were just plain ugly. I couldn’t bring myself to buy one, even though they were 40% off. Then it was bye bye Club Med, sleep on the bus a lil, watch 50 First Dates (which we’ve all seen rite) in the last 2 hours of the journey and head back to the office. I actually had to go up to the office to send out an email, would u believe that? Client/boss instructions : )

Me and joeeey were contemplating going for a body massage to soothe our super-achy legs, back & arms. When I got back and after I did my laundry and went to church, I decided I HAD to get a massage. So I scouted for those in my area and found two. One was a lil cheaper but looked more seedy so I chose this one where they used aromatherapy oils and charged RM50 per hour. But it was sooooo good til I fell asleep at the end.

In the end

Overall i had a good time not becoz of Club Med but more becoz of my friends. Thank u guys for the great company. *hugs* I have never drank so much in a weekend as I have here. I mean, beer for breakfast, lunch & dinner?! : ) I also realised that i didn’t participate in a single Club Med activity besides kayaking! Maybe i was a lil lazy coz previously when i came i had already tried my hand at archery, wall-climbing & wind-surfing. Man, i missed the flying trapeze & roller blading!! How could i? Cons? One gripe is that the food was a lot better & were greater in variety when the few of us who have been there last visited, and the GO’s were much friendlier and approachable too. Oh, and the evening performances by the GO’s were way better too in the past. Pros? They added a TV to the rooms which were absent previously, and we got a double bed+single bed room so each had a bed! : ))

Time so sleep now, im sure the massage will help me sleep like a baby tonite… and im sure there are gonna be plenty of MC’s tomorrow!! : P

Let’s go med…

Tomorrow (TGI Friday) our whole firm will be making its way to Club Med Cherating (in buses, no less coz none of us are allowed to drive there on our own without special reasons) for 3D 2N. One of those special reasons is that if you’re late, the bus will leave you and you have to travel there at your own cost & expense. Seeing that we all have to assemble in the office by 6.15am as the fleet of buses start rollin’ at 6.45am - i am a potential late-comer. Reach here by 6.15?! Gawd, i dont even know if i can wake up by 6.15!! But that’s just me. Definitely not a morning person, no matter what time i sleep. Pig is sometimes my middle name.

We’re all looking forward to this trip coz there’s lotsa free time so we’ll be able to bum by the beach (it’s a firm trip, not army camp!) and after 10pm every nite we’re free at leisure *big grin* We all plan to stay up all nite to get drunk and tell stories and push joeeey in the pool and strip lyn naked but not sure if it will all materialise. But it’s worth hoping for ; )

Last nite i went to buy my SPF50 sunblock since i burn under the sun like bak kua over the fire. And sunblocks are troublesome coz apparently they lose their effectiveness within a few months so u have to buy a new one every time u go for an exposing escapade. The sea at the east coast is gonna be vicious at this time of the year so i don’t think we’ll be doing much water sports, or swimming in the rough sea for that matter. Not unless someone wants to be a sacrifice to Poseidon, that is.

"Avast ye maties! Thar She Blows! Arr"

Yep, we’re gonna have fun. Oooo isnt everyone jealous that we get to have an early weekend? And who’s gonna be in bikinis? We’ll see…
