I signed up for a facial program at Leonard Drake last nite. I know that im extremely poor already, but i just couldnt help myself. Im just so sick of how my skin looks. Well, actually i think it’s alwiz looked more or less the same but there are times when you just need to lift that blah out of your complexion : ) I haven’t been for a facial in mighty long. I used to regularly go for a certain particular facial but i stopped after the therapist wrongly advised a product usage for my skin and i developed acne!!!!! arghhhh…. so that put me off facials for a while. It was literally scarring. The facials were good, it was just the beauty therapists. After a while i got sick of listening to them make me feel like i had the worst skin in the world just so they could push their products. Unfortunately it was one of their product themselves that broke the camel’s back. So even though i paid for a membership at that place, i never re-visited.
One of the best facials & massage i’ve ever received is a complimentary one at Mandara Spa, Sheraton Imperial. I think they’ve just opened another branch at Sunway Resort Hotel. I’ve tried some others after that, both paid & complimentary but nothing comes quite close on the relaxation scale ; P But it’s not really suitable as a long-term facial program, coz they don’t do any extraction (skin, not teeth!), the scrub is a little too vigorous and it’s kinda like a one-size fits all treatment.
I do take care of my skin (most of the time ; P) and im a regular cleanse-tone-moisturise girl who uses a mask & scrub on weekends. But i suppose it’s the late nites and maybe my diet that are taking the toil on my skin. Honestly, if u ask me, i think my skin has aged quite a bit in the last couple of years… Its noticeable by just comparing my photos! : ( Makes me just wanna go out and get that Creme de La Mer, the much touted youth elixir (which really works, yes coz ive tried it) but which i cant coz im too poor…
And veering off topic once again - today is officially my secretary’s last day and im gonna miss her, she’s been good help and a dear friend to me.
