Blond, James Blond…

It was a short but hectic weekend. And yeah, this is being posted from home.

Saturday went to Ikea again to get some deco for my Christmas tree. I bought a tree from Ikea a few weeks back but didn’t have time to get the ornaments as well. So I did that this weekend. We decided on a White Christmas themed tree so I bought only silver deco : )) Now all I need to do is set it up…Once again, im not having the Christmas feel this year ~ so i thought that by having a tree in my own home it would at least induce the mood…

ps: in case u guys havent noticed, i have a virtual Christmas tree here. Messages are welcomed : ) And every message appears as a bauble on the tree. Cute, eh?

danny lotsa fleshy exhibition : )

the aston on display at BTS i snapped : ))

At nite we went shopping and to watch Casino Royale ( finally ; )) Haha Daniel Craig is a great actor, but he’s not really a James Bond. I’ve been watching all those Bond movie re-screenings on Astro and I absolutely lurve the oldies, my fave is Timothy Dalton : )) Oh well. Casino was good, but not great. As usual – lurve the Aston Martin : D And Eva Green’s Vesper Lynd : ))

Today we went with my sis and her bf to watch the A1 Grand Prix at Sepang. We had free seats at the K1 grand stand, thanks to my sis’ friend : ) The race itself was pretty exciting, thanks to the rain which made for a slippery track. But the wait was agonizing. We got there at about 12pm and had to wait til 3pm before the race began. In that waiting period we were baked by the heat of the sun and pelted by the heavy rain. People were opening their umbrellas on the stand hehe. We were seated facing the most dangerous corner of the track so it was interesting to see cars lose control : ) The crowd was happily cheering for Alex Yoong everytime he drove past. Although he only got 7th place in this race, but he raced well. Click on View slideshow to view a slide show of the race.

Can u bare this…

Talking bout strippers, check this out : )) Thanks GC for the link.

In Malaysia, they’d probably get raped. Then burnt into ash or blown into bits ; ) It would, however, help create more job opportunities *grin*

Hmmm…Copenhagen. The capital of the place we lurve most for probably the best beer in the world that brings a world of friends : )) Which also reminds me of the MTV 2006 Europe Music Awards hosted by the very sexy back JT and held where else but the land of the great Danes. Yeaaah! I’ll drink to that

Of birds & hens…

                          image

I’ve been trying to get some contacts for a male stripper for a colleague’s hen nite this December. With an abundance of help from my sis, of course. But i can assure you, it’s not easy. As they are from a secret society of sorts, there are about a million questions to answer before we can even get a number or much less a demo performance.

Questions like please specify exactly what type of dancer you want, his package, location of his "performance", whether the bride-to-be wants to get laid or not, what u want him to come as…. HELL!! It’s bad enough having to go thru a middle man to answer these questions. But its much worse when we dont exactly have any specifications. Well, so long as it’s a GUY (i dont even care if he’s gay) and has a HOT bod, then it’s a deal isnt it? Please dont ask me if i want him dressed as a fireman…

Then the cost issue. Us gals have agreed that we are NOT paying for something that sucks, hence the request for a preview. But i get the feeling we’re not gonna get any. So i asked my sis to gather info on how much a regular stripper would charge for a couple of hours show in a nite, minus having to do the lady. When i got the response i was flabbergasted! RM1,000 - RM2,000 for just a show? Gawd that’s a fvcked up rip off! But apparently thats the market rate. Woooh. Any guy friends of mine willing to help for a lesser fee? : )) Call me.

So my sis suggested google-ing for a stripper. I thought it was a crazy idea, since in Malaysia they are a rare breed anyway. But having exhausted one avenue, we’ll alwiz have to move on to the next. And voila! I found one. And look how the ad reads:-

His friends crowded around the dining area and the bar

Yeah, yeah - go ahead and drink the bar dry : P

It appears like there are 6 pairs of couples in this pic…

Charlie’s Devils. We killed Charlie coz he scared lil Dakota Fanning in Hide & Seek.

Our collection for the nite, plus some ang pows. Wine, wine & more wine!

If you’re wondering what are in the boxes, let me ease your curiosity - a Philips sandwich maker, a teapot set and a crystal vase : )) I especially liked what Joanne & Sharon’s gift card said : Congratulations on your new commitment, looking forward to your next : )

But…it will be some time before i can afford to buy another home. Hehehe…(yessshh, babe i know you actually meant the wedding LOL)

Huge ass Cadbury bar that will last me til my next lifetime. Maybe : ))

Thanks everyone loads for coming ; )) Special thanks to Joanne for the muffins as well! And to my sis & Jerome for the table, vodka, spoons & $$$ ! : ) And thanks to everyone for your deeply appreciated gifts. Hope u guys/gals had a good (if not great) time!!

Welcome to my life…

Sorry i havent posted in a while. Have been busy with work and what not’s : ) Actually am still busy with work and what not’s : ))

As some of u may know, i will be having my very belated housewarming party this Saturday. Its just a very small do with only a few close friends of mine & CS’ as invitees, not an extravagant gala : )) So i’ve been quite busy prepping up for this as well. There’s invites to send, stuff to buy and guest lists to finalise.

I was shopping in Tesco on Tuesday nite and decided that i had to Image008finally get myself one of those small market trollies. Haha i know, its an EXTREMELY aunty accessory (dont laugh!!!) but i dont really have a choice. I’ve always got sooo much of shopping to lug and its all so heavy that i running the risk of injuring my back again. So to avoid the worst, its better to just take percautions haha. Best part was, Tesco was out of these trolleys! So after buying easily more than 10kg worth of groceries and items, i had to detour to another supermarket, Giant, to get a trolley : P

Anyways, im really looking forward to my invitees’ attendance yea. And though its not a pot luck party, yes, food contributions are most welcome. But please let me know beforehand what u will be bringing okies (thanks!!!) And for those who are intending to get me gifts, im v.embarassed to say that i have a wishlist! : ) I know i know. How thick skinned of me. But its just to avoid anyone giving me something i already have (which is quite likely as i’ve moved in for a while now) Most importantly i would lurve for u to present me with your attendance.

Invitees, please confirm your attendance by noon on Friday, yea. Hugs & kisses.

lotsa lurve,

Jacintaz

Thai girl show…

Saturday nite I went to watch Tata Young live at Ruums. I had a pair of spare passes and gave them to Joanne & Xavier : ) I actually also had another pair of spare passes but they were posted to my Malacca address, so no go. The show was only supposed to start at 9pm but the queue had begun since 5.30pm. I only reached at about 7.30pm thanks to the heavy traffic. After handing my spare passes to Joanne, me and CS went upstairs to the VIP waiting area.

At about 8pm we were all let in. The normal passes had the free-standing area before the stage and the VIP and media were led upstairs where there were seats and free drinks. We were also given the free CD and posters of Tata Young.

Around 8.45 when the club was packed, Utt came on stage : )) He’s shaven his hair to a crew cut now, but still looks cute. I was upstairs to the right of the stage and perched at the balcony. I had a great view of the whole show ; ) Utt entertained the crowd with some cheerful banter and he got 3 girls to come on stage and do the “Tata Young dance” to El-Ninyo, complete with strawberries and water bottles (I couldn’t stop laughing. They were more comical than seductive). Then it was time for Tata !!

She’s more beautiful in real life and really tall too. She wore a black and white sequined dress and was accompanied by 2 male dancers. And she started off the nite with current single El-Ninyo! And continued with the second single off her first English album, I Believe. She stopped to address the crowd after that song and told us that we were very very lucky coz Malaysia was the first stop on her Temperature Rising tour. Though I wouldn’t really call this a concert, more of a promo for her real concert in Bangkok next month : ))

PB110567.jpg

After that she did a cover version of an old number called Come Rain Come Shine. And then Utt came on stage and entertained the crowd together with her. They also hugged several times which made the crowd hoot and whistle haha. After that little chat session, she sang Monica’s For You I Will (also on her current album) which she said was dedicated to her mum and nanny who had passed away recently. She then proceeded to sing Dhoom, a song she recorded for a Hindi movie of the same name. She did a really good job though. And keeping up with the -oom theme, she told the crowd that she was going to sing Zoom, (latest album) which was her last song for the nite.

When her performance ended, Utt came on stage again. They hugged (again! Haha) and he presented her with a bouquet of flowers from MTV, Digi and Malaysia : )) The she left the stage, Utt stayed on for a bit and after that he went as well.

PB110568.jpg

PB110569.jpg Tata saying buh-bye

PB110570.jpg Utt before leaving

For some short vids of the show (coz I used my digital camera to record the vids), go to my Youtube page here. The whole performance  will also be aired on MTV Asia (ASTRO Channel 71) on 2nd December, 5 PM Malaysian time. Got it! Thanks to Tata2You.net for the source : )

When the show was over, the organizers started ushering people out of the crowd but I noticed those in the VIP area were left untouched haha. I was waiting for my turn to meet Tata together with the rest of the winners. I also saw Adam C and his gf : ) Not sure if they got to meet Tata though.

After waiting for about 15 minutes, the group of us were ushered downstairs to go backstage and meet her. I prepared my 2 CD’s and 2 posters and camera. I also brought a little token for her - a flower & a little gift. They allowed us backstage in groups of five. And boy what a let down it was. Not only were we not allowed to take photos of her with our own camera, they also limited her autographs. So I didn’t get her autograph on any of my stuff *sulk sulk* They had their own photographer backstage taking our pics but when I exited and spoke to the Digi and MTV staff, none of them had a clue as to whether we were ever gonna set eyes on the pics. Sucky. Thankfully one of the very good Digi staff gave me a pre-autographed CD from her : ))

So after deciding that there was nothing left to stay on for, I wanted to leave. Joanne had left much earlier on, after they ushered everyone out. But before I left I supposed I had one consolation – I saw Utt!! : ))) And of course I had to snap a pic with him. Aww haha. And I was lucky in the sense that after that pic with me, he left the area. So I made my way out as well.

utt.jpg

Overall I have to say that she gave a really good performance, though a very short one. She wasn’t really that friendly backstage tho, coz when I asked her to sign my CD’s, she said Oops, I don’t have the pen anymore (her assistant or manager had taken it away from her). But i suppose i cant really blame her, they appeared to be very rushed for time. Hrmmm…well at least I didn’t have to queue from 5.30pm just for the show : )

Feeling rather cheated (coz I thought I could have at least have taken a pic with her if I wasn’t gonna get an autograph), me and CS made our way to Berjaya Times Square to catch a movie and settled on the latest dance movie Step Up starring hotties Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. It was a very good movie. Not only were the dance moves fantastic and the actors were as good with dancing as they were with acting, there was a very moving storyline as well as well as some hilarious bits. I’d give this show an 8 out of 10 and recommend it to everybody. After watching Step Up you’ll definitely be inspired to take up dance lessons. And based on the movie, I’d say the soundtrack is worth a listen as well.

p/s: Was listening to the Temperature Rising cd both yesterday and this morning and its actually quite good! But her first album, I Believe is still better : )

To buy or not to buy…

I went traipsing around town last nite doing a bit of shopping. Which explains why im dead tired today. I was looking for a tube top, a pair of peep-toe heels and Tata Young’s first English album, I Believe.

First stop, LBB in Damansara Uptown. Yesss…i found what i wanted at an unbelievable price. Haha… The thing is, majority of these kind of affordable independent boutiques like LBB (DU, Hartamas & Bangsar), Blook (Hartamas, Bangsar, USJ & 1 Utama), Cat’s Whiskers (Hartamas, Bangsar & DP), Paper Dolls (DP) etc. actually get most of their stuff brought in from Thailand. So u know how much cheaper they must be there : )

      Temperature Rising cover

Click here to view an interview with Tata

Next stop - the Curve and Ikano Power Center (i swear there is an unseen magnetic force drawing me there each time). I wanted to get Tata’s first English language album, I Believe coz i figured since i would be meeting her i may as well get her to autograph everything. Problem is, i dont have anything save for her Temperatures Rising album which they’re giving out for free at the entrance. And i don’t exactly collect posters or memorabilia anymore. And i have a copy of her first album, but its a PCD (and no, that does not stand for the Pussycat Dolls) So to avoid being thrown out of the club, i figured i may as well get the, erm, OCD (and no, that does not stand for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder!!) since i lurve all the tunes anyway and the PCD skips in my car cd player. Ahem.

So i looked for a music store in the Curve. I tried Borders, but they only had her 2nd album. So i looked at the directory, and I found one, Rock Corner hidden high up on the 2nd Floor. I made my way there only to not find a single one of her albums. I was quite exasperated at this point coz it meant i would have to walk to Ikano (i parked in the Curve). I called my other half who was still in Singapore then to check out the price and availability of the elusive album (now u know why ppl buy PCD!). He looked in HMV at Raffles Link and found it after speaking to the shop assistant. It cost SGD20 so i said hold whilst i checked CD-Rama. I went over to Ikano and into CD-Rama. There was one single CD at RM46. In the end due to some miscommunication, neither of us bought the CD. Argh. So today im supposed to buy it. I called up several outlets of Video Ezy but they only have her second album. Sigh sigh sigh. Tower Records in KLCC actually has one copy of the album but i dont feel like stopping by KLCC today. So its back to Ikano for me then. Sigh.

Final stop, Cat’s Whiskers in Damansara Perdana. CW is currently having 20% storewide, which is the main reason i made my way there. I’ve alwiz liked peep-toe sandals but never bought any coz i just never felt the need to. But i think after too much influence from my more fashion savvy sis, i have given in the fashion item. LBB also carries several designs but as CW apparently had a wider range, i abandoned LBB and went to CW. There were several that i liked but i chose the above coz it had the tallest heels (almost 3"). And i also lurved the snake skin design and leopard print lining haha. Friends, do u remember my obsession with animal prints back in sec. school? : D I bought the above pair for only RM55.90 (after discount). Yeah, i like heels but i cant always wear them. Suffering a little for beauty is ok. Boinks ; )

I came home to find my credit card statement, along with a Rewards points redemption voucher. So i decided to take a peek at the amount of points i had accumulated since to exchange for gifts. When i saw 24,XXX on the statement i almost fainted! Its RM1 = 1 point so i have spent RM24k on normal daily expenditure todate on my card?!! Gawd…no wonder im so fcuking indebted. And that’s just one card. Oh well. At least i can redeem more stuff for free : ))

Flying_money Ouch, now my wallet is suddenly aching…

Care for a fcuk…

Last nite I attended the FCUK (or French Connection as they’d rather be known now) evolution party cum fashion show at 1 Utama. My sister received an invite and since I had nothing better to do and I didn’t need to leave the office that late, I decided to tag along.

As with all fashion parties, there was free flow of vodka (Smirnoff, not my usual fave Absolut) and champagne before the event. And seeing that everyone else looked too shy to touch the drinks, me and my sis got wasted faster than u could say French Connection haha.

Our bounty was just this month’s issue of OK magazine and an 30% discount voucher from French Connection. Heck, im just gonna say FCUK coz its easier to type : D

Then the fashion show started showcasing apparel from I-don’t-know-what-season-coz-its-Autumn-but-doesn’t-look-like-Autumn-clothes-to-me. But they were nice : D And in my drunken state I went happy-go-snappy with my mobile phone camera. The models were mainly gwailo, meaning they were from Andrews Models. (One of my attending friends mistakenly thought they were flown in from UK)

I even took pics of Jaclyn Victor, with Jaclyn and of her and Rashid Salleh. The things intoxicated people do. Serena C hosted the event. And she couldn’t stop stressing enough that FCUK is now known as French Connection and no longer as the famed four-letter word.

You never call me when you’re soberrrr…. The End : )

My thunder Thais…

I’m very happy for several reasons. Firstly, i did manage to book a return flight to Bangkok (my sister’s most favourite place) this end December after all. And i managed to secure a reasonably priced hotel at a central location in Bangkok at the same time. All this thanks to the technology of internet booking *muaks* i love my pc : ) And despite the fact that I will be going in the midst of the holiday season, the rates (both air and accomodation) don’t really seem to have been affected *grin* Chatuchak, here i come !!!

*psst*  Did u know that the Thai name for Bangkok - Krungthep Mahanakorn Boworn Rattanakosin Mahintharayuttha Mahadilokpop Noparatratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniveymahasathan Amornpiman Avatransathit Sakkathattiay-avisnukarmprasit - is the longest for a city in the world? And i thought Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious was a tongue twister! It apparently means "Great city of angels; the repository of divine gems; the great land unconquerable; the grand and prominent realm; the royal and delightful capital full of nine noble gems; the highest royal dwelling and grand palace; the divine shelter and living place of reincarnated spirits."

Siam Paragon on December 31, 2005. It was one of the official countdown sites for the New Year's Eve celebrations.

Another reason for my happiness is that I also managed to secure VIP passes to watch Thai export, Tata Young at Ruums this Saturday. Oh joy, oh gleee! : ) I will also get a copy of her latest CD, Temperature Rising and get to meet her after the event. All this thanks to my beloved telco, DiGi (or affectionately known to the GPB legal due d team as Di-GGy haha). I’ve alwaez lurved Tata Young since the release of her first English album with that infectious Sexy Naughty Bitchy tune and especially after her performance at the Ms. Singapore-Universe 2004 pageant which i saw on TV when i was in S’pore then (didcha know that S’pore actually has more stringent measures of selecting their beauty queen? unlike *ahem* where apparent bimbos participate and the ones with an ounce more of brain power take the crown) I’ve made Sexy Naughty Bitchy my theme song ever since : D.

Next reason is another Thai dish. MTV Asia’s super hottt VJ Utt aka Greg Uttsada Panichkul will be emceeing the event this Saturday. Yummy yummy (tho i dont know what my bf will say to this haha) I have previously met Utt about 2 years back when he was down in Midvalley for some shooting. I took a pic with him in a friend’s friend’s phone camera as well but for obvious reasons i never got the pic. He’s a darling, really cute. Oooh and just the other day he discarded his pants in one of the editions of Pop Inc. and he was in briefs, no less. Hmmm…if u asked me i’d say Utt and Tata make a perfect pair ; )

Utterly droolworthy!!

Ooooh, u gotta be thankful to our neighbour up north for all the above reasons : ) Korp Koon Kar!

I’m bringing sexy…

Rainbow_bikiniThat isnt my butt, in case you’re wondering.

I’m baaack : )) Was rather busy today and got back quite late last nite thus did not blog about my long weekend escapades. Anyway, here it is in a summary (coz im too lazy to tell grandmama stories ; ))

Thursday

I drove back only in the afternoon coz i woke up so late and coz i had some things to clear before i could go back. The stupid highway was damn jammed, no thanks to road closures to construct the 3rd lanes, the blinding rain and car accidents along the route. I took 2 1/2 hours to reach back : (  i got back so late that we couldnt go to the graveyard today & had to postpone it to Friday. Dammit. Should have just returned on Thur nite and saved a day of leave if i had known : (( I was still having a really bad sore throat on Thursday so i decided against asking any of my dear Malacca buddies out coz obviously i would have to talk and i just couldnt.

Friday

We woke up early to visit the graveyard to pay our respects - there were 4 graves to visit : my paternal granpa, my granduncle and my paternal great grandparents. In the afternoon my sister returned but we didnt do much the rest of the day coz it was raining all the time. My bf came back on the 10pm bus and i had to go pick him up at past 2am. So i had to have an early nite anyways. One of his friends who owns a shoe store in JB gave me a pair of green heels. So sweet ; )

my late granpa’s grave                           paris aka snowy pre-neutering

Saturday

We also woke up early to bring my dog to the veterinarian to be neutered. My whole family went along coz my parents know my dog better than us gals - we’re hardly ever around. Anyway, my dog Paris (but whom my parents have unfortunately renamed Snowy since she’s white and since she doesnt seem to respond to Paris maybe coz she doesnt dig being a bitch haha geddit) underwent the operation on Saturday but we made the decision to leave her in the care of the vet since we have too many other dogs at home. We were supposed to get her puppy spayed as well but according to the vet, they only perform the procedure on dogs above 6 months old & the pup just turned 6 (months), we decided to do hers next month.

one and the same manimal - ie. Hugh Jackman : ) he can also sing, btw

I brought my mum & bf to the hairdressers after lunch for hair cuts. Also bought some CDs from a shop nearby : ) In the evening we went for dinner at Moon Luck (or wateva its new name is, i dont care) satay celup and after that for abit of shopping. I bought some tank tops & cute undies. I dont know why i keep buying them, i already have tons of tank tops but maybe its my inner conscience telling me that i must have one in every colour/design otherwise i cant stop buying them. My bf bought two shirts. Fair enuff. Then we watched Flushed Away with my sis. Its actually quite good, although i must admit the only reason i watched it was because the only tickets left to the movie i really wanted to watch, The Prestige (also starring Hugh Jackman), were in the front two rows. It’s better than Open Season. Hugh Jackman voices the lead character, Roddy. Watch out for the costumes he picks out in the beginning of the show and u will spot a Wolverine costume : )) Geddit? Hugh Jackman. Wolverine. And i lurve the singing slugs. They just hit the nail on the head with their tunes : D

snowy aka paris post-neutering       another fat sick cat at the vet’s. my sis just haaad                                                    to snap this

Sunday

I woke up early (again, no wonder im so tired) to go to the bus terminal with my bf to check if there was another ticket on his bus to Singapore coz his mum suddenly decided to go to Singapore coz his sister’s maid decided to stop working. Anyways, luckily there was and after that i came home and we all went to church with my family. After church, me, him and her (me, bf & sis) went to visit our Paris aka Snowy at the vet’s to check on her. Awww…poor thing. She was happy to see us as expected but when we left the look on her face was just tear-jerking! Oh well…my parents will be taking her back in a few days’ time. Which reminds me, my sister’s hamster keeps running away and then coming back coz someone will alwiz forget to close the doors of one of her 5 hamster cages (its a zoo in there) after feeding them.

hamsters are just as pampered - their "shampoo"    a russian dwarf (hamster, ya)

Anyways…in the afternoon after lunch with my family, my bf’s mum came from Seremban (the nearest port of disembarkation to their tiny hometown haha) and after picking her up and bringing her back to my house for a while, it was time to send her and her son to the bus terminal again. Sigh…i was sick of driving for a bit there. Then in the evening it was me & my sis’s turn to go back to KL. We left at about 6.30 and stopped for dinner at the Ayer Keroh OBR (overhead bridge restaurant) and we (of all things) bought a pair of Nike sneakers each from there (u know where) coz they were so, so cheap. I rushed back to PJ coz i had to collect my bar stools from the furniture shop and got there just in the nick of time when the shop assistant was leaving. Phew! Anyways, i slept really late last nite which led to a very very tired Monday.

+ some stuff which i bought - key caps (check out the one in blue ; ) & a cup cover

+ my sneakers (my old ones are worn out) & bar stools (mine are in black)

Monday

Busy at work, had some stuff to rush. Met some ex-coursemates whom i hadnt seen in a while for lunch and found out that HE (who reads my blog as well : )) is getting married to HER (u meanies never even TOLD anyone u were dating!!!) this December : ) Psst. You two make the cutest & sweetest couple. I also brought photos i took of Stephen Gately, Ronan Keating, 911 and Code Red to work today coz someone wanted to see my pics which i took 7 years back in Singapore’s Ritz-Carlton : )) I was also surfing the net today to look for a year end holiday package to Bangkok coz someone suddenly decided he could take the whole week off for Christmas. Obviously the hotels & flights are fully booked by now : ( Sigh. Last-minute man!! And…someone whom i havent seen or spoken to in quite a while called me to say hi and to chat about work. Sigh…if only money didnt make the world go round i would have made some different choices in life…
